Robert Blubaugh, D.O.
Dr. Blubaugh completed his undergraduate degree in 1974 and Osteopathic Medical Degree in 1978 at Oklahoma State University. He had a rotating internship at Dallas-Ft. Worth Medical Center and proceded to Oklahoma State University Center for the Health Sciences in Tulsa, Okla., for his pediatric residency. He was in general pediatric practice in Broken Arrow, Okla. for one year prior to returning to St. John’s Medical Center in Tulsa, Ok., for his fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
After fellowship he moved to Champaign, IL., and worked as Director of the Newborn Intensive Care at Mercy Hospital for one year before proceeding to Oklahoma City, Mercy Hospital, for the next five years of which he was Director of the Newborn Intensive Care Unit for four of those years. Currently, Dr. Blubaugh is Medical Director of Newborn Nurseries at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, Ms., where has resided for the last 20 years.
He is board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatology with the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics. He has been serving on the AOBP Continuous Certification Exam Committee and Credentials Committee for five years and is Chairman of the Neonatology Certification and Recertification Exam Committee.
